Josh "CuriousJosh" ReissThe Do Lab's seventh annual combined stage and art installation dowses Coachella attendees with revitalizing water and movement inspiring electronic music. Known for Los Angeles based music showcases, and next month's upcoming annual Lightning in a Bottle festival, The Do Lab is developing a strong reputation for music curation alongside their large scale art installation development. Previous featured artists, including The Glitch Mob and Bassnecter, have subsequently highlighted Coachella's dance music focused Sahara tent, making the Do Lab stage a place to watch for new musical talent.

Freq Nasty's legendary low frequency live sets are known vibrational experiences aggressively drawing on elements of drum and bass, dubstep, and breakbeats. His recent Monsters of Bass tour headlining with Opiou and Marty Party is only one highlight in a long, celebrated career delivering undulating walls of sound .
To best simulate the Freq Nasty live set experience, hook your computer to a subwoofer equipped sound system, turn the volume up all the way, hold the subwoofer caringly to your chest, and prepare to dance.

Glitch Mob founding member turned solo artist, Kraddy continues evolving his bass heavy hybrid sound melding hip-hop, dubstep and dancehall. Wielding rock and punk sensibilities, his current tour features a live drummer, with a sound Kraddy describes as “Led Zeppelin 3000.” There's little doubt of Kraddy's candidacy for future festival tents.

San Jose based Danny Beall's musical versatility undoubtedly fuels his increasingly popular melodic dubstep. With previous IDM and glitch projects Lay Awake and Sloth Logic still available on Soundcloud, Nit Grit's dulcet assault assures continuation of his meteoric rise in popularity.

R/D describes his current work as a rock based electronic sound. After a decade in DJ performance, R/D continues an evolving of sound continually striving towards a new genres. With his current sound over a year in the making, the recent Liquid Heart Keeper release offers a strong indication of his newest direction.

No stranger to success, Los Angeles based electronic musician Stephan Jacobs played 2010's Electric Daisy Carnival as one half of the duo Kether before stepping out to explore his individual sound.
Stephan's uptempo dubstep shows his past live music influence with tracks incorporating original vocals, and original synthesized composition. With elements played live during some Coachella songs this year, Stephan plans to continue incorporating live musical elements for this year's Lighting in a Bottle festival.

Sugarpill's music sweetens glitch with strong melody, rhythm and bass. Enjoying a recent rise in popularity, Sugarpill's road schedule seems booked solid for the summer with cross country appearances from Texas to San Francisco.

La'Reda, the electro house based duo of Brion Topolski and Nathan Barbou, slam through genres including big room anthem and traces of dubstep into their sets. Their theory that people listen to multiple styles of music seemed to hold up strong during their Coachella set which enjoyed a packed floor through the entire performance.

San Francisco based Ana Sia enjoys exploring new sounds. With a heavy dubstep and glitch base, her latest mixes incorporate additional hints of techno and garage.

An-Ten-Nae uses the phrase Acid Crunk in describing his musical blend currently featuring rock infused psychedelic hip-hop. Wielding his midi controller like a musical instrument, he incorporates hip-hop and rock vocals to deliver messages alongside heavy driving beats.

Rooted in breakbeats, and a member of the Los Angeles Breakbeat Association since it's 1996 inception by DJ Oscure, Patricio loves to play music with high energy. He describes an enjoyment of playing music that makes him dance, hoping it makes everyone else dance.
For this year's Coachella, where Patricio felt audiences came with high expectations, he expanded his set to include elements of house and electro. Enjoy his entire Coachella 2011 set at the link below.

Co-founder of DJ collective Pocket Underground, Jesse Wright's 14 year DJ career has transitioned to a tech house base for the last half decade. For Coachella, Jesse's melodic tech house set with intermittent heavy dub bass influences came about through a desire to inspire dance without resorting to playing excessively hard.
Jesse's humorously described his Coachella selection process by saying, “If I was sitting on the playa at 4pm really stoned, what would I love dancing to right now?”
Jesse Wright's recent Soundcloud set shows similar influences to his Coachella set, which should be uploaded soon as well.

Santa Cruz artist Timonkey excitedly describes his current work as exploring a direction moving a dubstep glitch combination towards the light and positive.

Govinda celebrates a first Coachella appearance delivering the unique blending of gypsy, Middle Eastern, and Indian melodies mixed over a background of downtempo, glitch, idm, trip hop, and dubstep. Govinda's live violin harmonies and incorporated vocals enhance a haunting world music feel in his tracks.

A music roundup of Coachella's Do Lab stage would be complete without a Lucent Dossier mention. Although known as a stage show, Lucent Dossier's performance features predominantly original music with the majority of elements performed live during the show. The quirky original music maintains a popular dubstep base, yet remains heavily inspired from Lucent's extravagant character based stage shows.

Do Lab resident Jupit3r's combination of self described pretty and gnarly elements distinguish a new direction for this experienced artist. With a past history in breakbeats, his new sound explores a melodic glitch hop and dubstep blending.
Jupit3r expresses feelings that sexy vocals and melodic breakdowns inspire girls to dance, while drops described as gnarly can strongly drive guys movement. He describes the effect of combining the two as a “Beautiful Dragon.”
Watching both genders ecstatically throb with Jupit3r's Coachella set, we can only assume the formula is working.

Siberian born, and raised in New York, Boris G delivers a melding of IDM melodies fused with bass heavy rhythms reminiscent of the Acid Crunk and Dubstep sound.

Stepping out from behind the DJ booth to spray the audience with water, Michele Bass' enthusiasm for her Coachella crowd was clearly hard to contain. She describes the audience as energetic and ready to play, and she appeared ready to play with them.
Michele expresses an enjoyment of making people feel sexy, and describes her sound as “Electro Sexy Bootie Breaks.”

Karim So plays a self described style of Luvstep, blending elements of breakbeat, dubstep, hip-hop, crunk rock, IDM, and more.
