Medusa Lounge deserves a pop-in or two this week with two top L.A. club promoters setting up shop there, and two other nights offering a gathering (and maybe grumbling) spot for those of us who need to party away the pain of losing Indie 103.1 last week. Actually, if you’re reading this on Thurs., Jan. 22, head to For the Love of Indie, a free event — according to its flier — “to remember . to celebrate . and to conspire to bring it back!” Not sure what DJs or music will be provided for that one, but for those who loved the post-Saturday-night clubbin’ electro-charge of Paul V’s “Neon Noise” radio show, his party by the same name will be the following eve, Fri., Jan. 23. More bootie beats will be bumping at hipster-chick fave Club Work It, which kicks off its relocation with a formidable DJ bill: Kid Statik, Audio Puppet, Killed by Synth and Scarlett Casanova, Sun., Jan. 25. And for a different groove, Medusa’s got a new reggae night from the Soulside crew, Trojan Lounge, debuting Wed., Jan. 28. 3211 Beverly Blvd., Hlywd.; (213) 382-5723.
