But in the strange world of Los Angeles weather, where winter heat waves baked our faces and spring snow had us bewildered, it might be hard to tell we're only a few weeks away from Memorial Day.
The National Weather Service says March was actually warmer than April in Southern California, with 125 records set or matched in March compared to only six last month.
Maybe the trend is continuing: We could be getting rain during this week of below-normal temperatures, forecasters say.
A weather system is moving down the coast and could start to affect greater Los Angeles Thursday morning, with the greatest chance of precipitation overnight Thursday into Friday morning, according to the NWS.
It could produce a light spring sprinkling, forecasters said, with a tenth to a quarter of an inch of rain possible. Expect cooler temperatures, too.

Gusty onshore winds could great beach-goers while the Big Bear area could see as much as a third of an inch of precipitation, according to the NWS in San Diego County.
Some television forecasters hinted that snow was possible. But we wouldn't break out the snowboard just yet.
Temperatures in the 70s and 80s were expected to return in time for the weekend.
