Film+Music, kissing in a tree! First comes love, then comes a misunderstood multimedia phase, then comes the 2nd LA Film+Music Weekend! Co-founded by Indie Film Depot owner Brandon Stevenson with Daniel Lisberger and David Thomas, last year the Weekend hosted more than 2,000 people watching more than 100 hours of programming that ranged from short films to live actions to panel discussions. This year, it's more of the same with the VH1 Snoop Dogg- narrated documentary Uprising: Hip-Hop & the L.A. Riots: Take Me Home, the first feature by actor Sam Jaeger of NBC dramedy Parenthood, and the film Hollywood to Dollywood, in which twin filmmaker brothers make Dollywood their vision quest. There'll also be a unique and eclectic selection of live music, the schedule for which will be available at the festival. It's not often that you can say you were there at the dawn of greatness, but here's your chance. Great oaks, little acorns, etc. Downtown Independent, 251 S.
