Maxwell David Marcus Shines in New Film, Establishes Himself as a Versatile Actor

After 6 years honing his craft as a Professional Wrestler, MAXWELL DAVID MARCUS has ventured into familiar territory that allows him to further expand his storytelling capabilities: Professional Acting. Since moving to to Los Angeles, the young thespian has been utilizing the discipline and tenacity instilled in him as a Pro Wrestler to hone his craft as a committed, passionate, and thoroughly-trained Screen Actor.

“I’ve been fortunate to appear in some great projects as of late, which I’m hoping will springboard me into some exciting new dramatic and action-packed work” Maxwell says. “Given my background, it is a goal of mine to incorporate more of my training into my performances”.

Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Maxwell started training as a Professional Wrestler at the age of 15; debuting on the Independent circuit at 18 years old; as “MAXWELL M1 ABRAMS”. All the while, he pursued and obtained a dual-degree in Acting and Media Communication at Muhlenberg College. During his time at university, while becoming certified in Swashbuckling Stage Combat and battling the likes of X-PAC and The NWO on the Independent wrestling circuit, Maxwell’s love for acting grew. He received training in various methodologies including Meisner Technique, Commedia Dell’ Arte, and On-Camera Technique for Film. In doing so “the flame was lit” and Maxwell yearned to serve more stories with his skills, while exploring a larger repertoire characters. He was accepted as an apprentice for OYL Theatre Company’s Tour of Hesiod’s Theogony; during which time, he trained in Suzuki-Style Acting and performed throughout the country; acting in both Greek and English.

Maxwell discovered his love of performance at a young age; and was awarded numerous accolades including Second Runner-Up Child Actor of the year at IMTA’s New York Conference. Years later, after graduation from college, completion of his apprenticeship abroad, and some local success in his Wrestling career, it was time for Maxwell to dive back into his roots of Professional Acting headfirst; with all of the passion that he poured into Professional Wrestling. This quickly led to various starring and costarring roles in independent feature films!

Maxwell as Lattie Tipton (Reveille -2023)

Maxwell Recently portrayed real life soldier; Private Lattie Tipton in the World War Two Dramatic Historical Fiction: ‘Reveille’, which won “Best War Feature” at the Brussels Film Festival. Lattie was a real father and soldier who was tragically killed during the war. Maxwell, being the grandson of two World War Two veterans himself, felt a deep obligation to approach this role respectfully and honestly. “It was a very emotional, cathartic, and contemplative experience on set. Surrounded by tears, and hugs, and screams, and love; we explored humanity’s shadow amongst thoughtfully simulated horrors of war. I’ll never forget it” -he said to us. Maxwell wishes to honor his family & all veterans with his portrayal of Lattie.

While “Reveille” finishes it’s final stages of distribution (Set for Summer of 2023) you can watch him take on the touching role of young Ben Conway in ‘Sagacity‘ (2022) out on now Tubi TV; you can also see him in the supporting Role of Joe in ‘Good Stuff (2022) out on Amazon Prime Video.
