Venice's Abott Kinney Boulevard is deservedly known as the party place each month on First Fridays, but for the dance community, the Electric Lodge tucked away behind Abbot Kinney is the go-to spot on the first Monday of the month. The brainchild of innovative choreographers Cid Pearlman, David King and Marcus Kuiland-Lozario, its Max 10 has taken on a life of its own as 10 performers are given 10 minutes max (hence the series' title) to strut their stuff. The efforts range from debuts to known figures trying something new. A post-performance reception with the performers gives audience members a chance to give feedback and enjoy the beer that's included in the ticket price.
