24-Year-Old Male Victim Killed in Solo-Vehicle Collision near Bixby Avenue

ORANGE COUNTY, CA (February 3, 2022) – Saturday afternoon, 24-year-old Matthew Santana died in a solo-car rollover crash on Tustin Street.

According to police, the collision occurred around 12:35 p.m., near Bixby Avenue.

Witnesses say the driver of a Mustang was traveling north and suddenly lost control before crashing into the curb, flipping on its roof. Responders declared its driver, Santana of La Mirada, dead at the scene.

His passenger was transported to a local hospital with major injuries. Although, her identity has not been provided.

Following the crash, authorities closed all north and southbound lanes of Tustin Street in the area for an extended period of time. At this time, police are still investigating if drugs or alcohol may have been a factor.
