Bartender Matthew Biancaniello has gained a cult following over the years, beginning at the Library Bar at the Roosevelt Hotel, and then in various other places, including Cliff's Edge, where he ran a Wednesday night cocktail pop-up last year. That pop-up is back, beginning this evening.

As with his previous Wednesday night stints behind the bar at Cliff's Edge, Biancaniello will create drinks based around ingredients he has grown himself, bought at the farmers market or foraged nearby. In the past, this has meant ingredients such as lovage and mugwort, so there's no reason to expect anything less thrilling this time around. Last year it won him “Best Cocktails” in our Best of L.A. issue. ]

Biancaniello himself will be behind the bar, where you can try to snag a seat. But the restaurant also is setting up cocktail tables outside, under the huge tree that gives Cliff's Edge one of the most magical patios in town.

Biancaniello's pop-up will take place every Wednesday during the summer months (June, July and August) from 6-11 p.m. Reservations are not accepted for the pop-up.
