Musician and real estate agent Matt Kirkegaard, along with his team of experts at Movement Property Group (Keller Williams), are changing the approach to the way people buy and sell real estate in the Tennessee housing market.
It wasn’t always great, however, for Kirkegaard, who struggled early in his career both homeless and struggling. But every decision he has made has led him to where he is now. In fact, the seasoned piano player, since age 9, turned down an opportunity to attend The Juilliard School, but opted instead to pursue composition and his solo career.
Kirkegaard began his real estate career in 2015 and, within six months, was in the Top 10 agents in the highest-volume office in the state of Tennessee. In 2018, he launched ‘Make Nashville Your Home’, which later became Movement Property Group.
Additionally, the area in which Movement Property Group covers is vast, serving both East and West Nashville, Germantown, Green Hills, Belle Meade, Forest Hills, Franklin, Brentwood and 12 South areas. The ‘American Dream’
Kirkegaard currently has two albums, 2017’s Stories of India and 2021’s Love Undefined.
He is also featured on the popular streaming lifestyle and real estate show, The American Dream.
Traveling regularly, Kirkegaard’s wife even has her own travel blog, Porch to Passport, where their collective travels are chronicled, offering a deeper and more intimate look into the Kirkegaard family.
Community First
Kirkegaard’s Movement Property Group is currently playing a vital role in helping East Nashville, Tenn., expand. An all-new luxury community, Shelby Green Development, which has already broken ground, will see roughly 20 homes erected, just off the Shelby Golf Course.
The popular East Nashville area is within walking distance of iconic restaurants, like Rosepepper and Ugly Mugs, and homes will begin to become available as soon as summer of 2022. Additionally, Kirkegaard and his team also give back to local communities via the LiftUp initiative. As part of the program, which Kirkegaard founded, 10% of net profits go directly to the LiftUp fund. As a result, money is used to provide rent relief and mortgage payment assistance for families and individuals who have been affected by unfortunate circumstances out of their control.
