Pedestrian Accident near Manzanita Way Left Three Hurt

ANTIOCH, CA (September 20, 2022) – Friday, a crash on Manzanita Way left Mason Hanlin, Gianathon Hanlin, and Cheyenne Hanlin with injuries.

The incident happened on September 16th, at around 3:00 p.m., as the children were walking home from school

According to witnesses, a red Chevrolet Impala drove at a high rate of speed on Sycamore Drive and collided with a tan Mercury Mystique near Manzanita Way. The impact of the collision caused the Impala to change course onto the sidewalk and strike three children in its path.

Medical responders transported Mason and Gianathon to UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital in Oakland. Paramedics airlifted Cheyenne to UC Davis Medical Center. The children are reported to be in serious condition.

The victims’ families started a GoFundMe fundraiser to help with medical expenses.
