Masks are here to stay for a while and as we all get used to this new essential accessory, L.A. Weekly will continue to feature cool new local designers and retail outlets where you can find face cover that suits your personal style. For many, a favorite scarf and big shades will do, for others, printed masks with a message or eye-pleasing pattern are preferred, and still for others masks provide an opportunity to wear something wacky or silly, bringing a little bit of fun to a situation that is anything but. Though there has been some controversy about mask mandates in certain states, the bottom line is wearing them is the safer and more considerate thing to do. So do it! And be inspired by these stylish Angelenos to do it well.

(Masked will be a regular series on laweekly.com for the time being. If you’d like to share your masked looks follow @LAWeekly and @LinaLecaro on Instagram and tag your mask selfies #LAWeeklyMasked).
