A Hollywood talent manager who represents children who have appeared on the likes of the tween show iCarly and on other kids' programs was charged today with child molestation.

A teenager came to police with the claim that 47-year-old Martin Weiss had molested him from 2005 to 2008 when he was a client. The victim, described by the District Attorney's office as an “aspiring singer,” was 11-years-old when it started, police allege.

Weiss is said to work out of his Santa Monica home. Before he was an agent, cops say Weiss …

… worked as a costumed character for-hire at children's parties. He started representing child clients 14 years ago, the LAPD says.

Officers collared him Tuesday at his residence and also “executed” a search warrant there.

The victim is now 18, cops say. The LAPD:

The crimes allegedly occurred at a residence in Woodland Hills as well as at Weiss' residence in Santa Monica. The victim had kept the molestation a secret until now because he feared the disclosure would damage his reputation in the industry and traumatize his family. He finally came forward out of concern Weiss may be victimizing others …

The District Attorney's office today hit Weiss with “three counts of sodomy of a person under 16; two counts each of lewd act upon a child and continuous sexual abuse; and one count of forcible lewd act upon a child,” according a D.A.'s statement.

Add 'em up and they're worth 34 years behind bars if Weiss is convicted. He's due in court Dec. 15.

[Added]: It was the second sex-crime scandal to rock Hollywood in the last month, with it all happening in the shadow of the Penn State / Jerry Sandusky child molestation allegations. In November the Los Angeles Times reported that casting agent Jason James Murphy is a convicted kidnapper and molester.
