15-Year-Old Killed in Auto Accident near Omak in Disautel

DISAUTEL, WA (March 2, 2021) – Early Saturday morning on February 13th, Martin Stanley was arrested after a fatal crash on Highway 155.

Officers arrived to the scene around 1:10 a.m., after receiving multiple dispatch calls in the area. According to reports, 20-year-old Stanley was driving a 1998 Ford F-150 north on the highway when he veered off the road.

There, Stanley overcorrected and steered into the oncoming lanes before rolling onto the shoulder of the road.

Amidst the chaos, a 15-year-old girl died on scene about 11 miles east of Omak. In addition, 18-year-old passenger Michael Timentwa of Omak, was transported to Mid-Valley Hospital. Reports indicate that neither of the occupants were wearing a seat belt.

Officers later booked Stanley into the Okanogan County Jail on suspicion of DUI, vehicular homicide and vehicular assault.
