63-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Car Crash near Scripps Poway Parkway

SAN DIEGO, CA (November 9, 2022) – Friday night, a solo-vehicle accident on Miramar Ranch North took the life of Martin Jaquez.

The fatal crash happened just before 11:00 p.m. on Scripps Poway Parkway.

According to the investigators, Jaquez lost control of the vehicle he was driving and hit a center divider near Scripps Creek Drive at a high rate of speed. The vehicle then overturned and rolled over several times, ejecting the driver along the roadway.

First responders arrived at the site of the collision shortly after. Medics then pronounced 63-year-old Jaquez, of San Diego dead at the scene due to the extent of his injuries.
