Motorcycle Crash near Chino Hills Shopping Center Leaves One Fatality

CHINO HILLS, CA (June 25, 2021) – Saturday morning, 44-year-old Martin Hernandez was killed in a motorcycle accident on Chino Hills Parkway.

Officers responded to the incident around 10:28 a.m., near Chino Hills Parkway and Pipeline Avenue.

Upon arrival, the deputies discovered good samaritans performing life-saving efforts on the motorcyclist.

Per reports, Hernandez was riding his 2002 Harley Davidson west on Chino Hills Parkway when a 2019 Nissan was making a left turn out of a shopping center parking lot.

The Nissan, driven by an 81-year-old Chino Hills woman, was turning onto the northwest corner of Pipeline Avenue. As the Nissan exited the lot, Hernandez applied his brakes in attempt to avoid striking the vehicle.

He was unable to stop in time, and struck the Nissan as a result. The motorcyclist, identified as Martin Hernandez of Chino Hills, died at the scene.
