86-Year-Old Woman Killed in Auto-Pedestrian Crash on Forest Avenue

CHICO, CA (June 30, 2022) – Martha Davis, 86, tragically died in a pedestrian accident on Forest Avenue Tuesday.

The crash happened around 10:00 a.m. along Forest Avenue, per initial reports. CHP responded after receiving multiple 911 calls about an incident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

Upon arrival, authorities located one woman suffering from critical injuries in the roadway. Despite life-saving efforts, emergency crews pronounced Davis dead at the hospital.

Meanwhile the driver of the vehicle, a 32-year-old man, and his two passengers reportedly escaped the collision uninjured.

Furthermore, both directions of the roadway were temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

At this time, officials have not filed any charges against the driver and also ruled out drugs, alcohol or speeding as factors in the fatal crash. However, an active investigation is currently underway.
