The bodies of Carmona and her daughter, whose name has not been released yet, were discovered around 1:30 p.m. May 14 at a house at 6930 Remmet Ave., near Canoga and Hart avenues in the San Fernando Valley.

Los Angeles firefighters were called to the scene and found the two dead. The coroner's office has ruled the deaths as homicides. Detectives interviewed Carmona's husband but it is not clear whether he is a suspect. Police did say the killings were not gang-related.
