73-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck in Road Rage Crash on Desert Inn Road

LAS VEGAS, NV (July 2, 2021) – 73-year-old Marlin Smith died Thursday morning following a road rage accident on Desert Inn Road on Tuesday.

The accident happened in the area of Desert Inn Road and Boulder Highway on June 22.

According to police, Smith was critically injured when a Suburban driver ran him over during a road rage incident. According to witnesses, the Suburban cut him off while he was driving his green Jeep.

Later, police stopped a Suburban and detained two people, but no suspects were named at the time.

The surrounding area near Desert Inn Road was closed for a brief time, but has since reopened.

At this time, authorities have not released any additional information. Updates will be made available as soon as they become available.
