Cops today were searching for the driver of a “newer model” silver Mercedes-Benz after a car like that was involved in the fatal hit-and-run that took the life of 18-year-old Markeis Parish.

A Facebook page belonging to someone of that name lists that Parish as an Inglewood High School student. Other news reports have reported the same. Police say the victim was from Los Angeles. The collision …

… took place not far from Inglewood, at Crenshaw Boulevard and 78th Street in Hyde Park, at 6:15 p.m. Saturday, according to the LAPD.
