Suspected DUI Collision near Highway 95 Left Two Fatalities

LAS VEGAS, NV (May 12, 2022) – Saturday evening, Marisol Meza and Darren Moore were killed in a DUI accident on Interstate 15.

The crash happened near U.S. Highway 95. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.

According to reports, Marik Macklin was the driver of a Toyota Camry carrying the couple and two other passengers, who suffered serious injuries.

Following preliminary investigations, officers determined that Macklin was under the influence at the time. In addition, medics pronounced Meza and Moore dead at the scene.

Authorities later booked Macklin into the Clark County Detention Center on counts including DUI resulting in death and DUI causing substantial bodily harm.

Meanwhile, Meza’s mother also expressed her grieves to the media about what happened to her daughter. At this time, authorities continue to conduct an active investigation into the crash.
