Cannabal City Collective is preparing to move into an iconic downtown Arts District building, the former 14,000-square-foot Cirrus Art Gallery on Alameda Street. The relocation is scheduled for December. Until then, patients can find Cannabal City in its current home at the rear of the Cirrus building on Seaton Street. There's a small parking lot and on-street parking. Cannabal City is known for its incredible flowers like Enoch, Illuminati and Banana OGs. Many patients visit because of the wide selection of THC-infused edibles. All are thankful that Cannabal City takes every form of payment including cash, debit and credit cards, one of the few dispensaries that does. "We're the 7-11 of edibles," director of operations Waylon Broussard said. "We also carry a lot of CBD (cannabidiol) products like topicals, lotions and balms." Check out Broussard's and Cannabal's collection of old apothecary bottles. Some are almost a century old with contents intact. Cannabal City has some fantastic specials like two grams of flowers free for first-time patients who donate $25 toward other products. Additionally, every one-eighth ounce is four grams instead of 3.5 and the early-bird special from 10 a.m. to noon allows patients to buy top-shelf eighths for $30. If you're really on a budget, they have Slim Shaky eighths for $15. Shake your hips, baby.
