Marijuana is a little like sex. Its fans can't get enough of it — any which way. There are pipes, bongs, joints, pills, vaporizers, candy, brownies and now … Canna Cola.

That's right. It was only a matter of time before a Californian said it's time to have some dope and a smile. But here it is, a full line of pot pop.

According to the Santa Cruz Sentinel flavors include …

Canna Cola, the Dr Pepper-like Doc Weed, the lemon-lime Sour Diesel, the grape-flavored Grape Ape and the orange-flavored Orange Kush.

Santa Cruz entrepreneur Clay Butler came up with the soda pot and says it'll be rolled out in Colorado in February and might be available right here in the Golden State by spring.

One catch is that California Sen. Dianne Feinstein has a bill working its way through congress that would double penalties for anyone convicted of making marijuana candy products and/or marketing them to children.

Does soda pot qualify? Not sure.

The line of pops, marketed by Diavolo Brands, is said to be much mellower and lighter than pot drinks currently on the market. (We' just waiting for bud beer).

The Canna Cola line is said to have a “mild marijuana taste.” (We just hope it doesn't pick up a hint of Mexican drug cartel terroir or the complexities of the kind of bloodshed that involve America's pot supply lines). Mmm. Refreshing.

Clay Butler, by the way, describes himself as a non-weed-smoking “clean-living guy.”
