A suspect who allegedly robbed a marijuana dispensary opened fire on police, riddling an LAPD cruiser with bullets in Northridge, police said. (See a photo of the cruiser on the next page).

Police last night said two suspects had been arrested and another was detained in connection with the robbery, pursuit and shootout:

It started with the robbery in the 7300 block of Reseda Boulevard sometime before 5 p.m. yesterday, police told City News Service.

An LAPD helicopter located suspects nearby, and the pursuit took cops and alleged robbers only a few blocks, to Strathern Street and Tampa Avenue, where a shootout took place, according to police.

An officer was injured when glass in the patrol car was shot out, police said.

Cops quickly found one suspect and detained a person of interest; a perimeter and hunt using police dogs led to the capture of another suspect at 7:30 p.m., according to the LAPD. A gun was found at or near the scene of the shooting, police said.

It's not clear if weed or cash was recovered.
