Sheriff's officials today announced a marijuana bust of historic proportions.
The stats: 16 tons of weed worth as much as $300 million.
Phew.
And where did they find it, of all places? A frigging nursery. For real. Allegedly. Talk about a green thumb:
]
Authorities today said the multi-agency take-down happened yesterday at Rolling Hills Nursery in Long Beach.
The seizure was made after deputies served a search warrant at the location, cops said. According to a sheriff's department statement:
The Marijuana was found in two large storage containers that were stored on the property. The estimated value of the marijuana is between $150 – $300 million dollars depending on the quality. Four male Hispanic suspects were arrested at the scene and subsequently transported to Lakewood Sheriff's Station for booking.
That's pretty much all they wrote on the matter.
We kind of like the balls and/or ovaries involved in allegedly hiding the stuff in plain sight, although the (alleged) smell must have been prodigious.
