73-Year-Old Woman Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Crash on West Nixon Street

PASCO, WA (November 23, 2022) – Tuesday, Maria Larios Torres was killed and a man was injured in a pedestrian hit-and-run on 20th Avenue.

Dispatchers responded to the scene near the intersection of North 20th Avenue and West Nixon Street around 7:00 p.m.

According to reports, the driver of a stolen vehicle struck a husband and wife who were crossing the street. Paramedics transported both pedestrians to a nearby hospital where 73-year-old Torres died.

Crews say the involved man is expected to survive. Although, authorities have not yet released his identity at this time.

Following preliminary investigations, officers located the vehicle that was stolen on November 21st. Once available, further details will be provided.
