Heacock Street Head-On Collision Kills 57-Year-Old Maria Kritzberger

MORENO VALLEY, CA (November 17, 2021)Early last Thursday, Maria Kritzberger was pronounced dead after a head-on crash on Heacock Street.

Officers responded to the scene about 5:40 a.m. Sgt. Robert Grmusha said the 57-year-old motorist was hit head-on by a car whose driver fell asleep at the wheel.

Kritzberger did not have time to steer clear when the car suddenly appeared in front of her.

Furthermore, the head-on crash inflicted fatal injuries to the victim and was pronounced dead at the scene.

However, the Kia driver, whose identity was not disclosed, suffered moderate injuries and was taken to nearby Riverside University Medical Center for treatment.

Officials shutdown both directions of the roadway for cleanup and preliminary duties.
