Three-Vehicle Crash on Highway 46 Left 8 Injured

PASO ROBLES, CA (February 16, 2022) – A crash on Highway 46 injured Maria Garcia De Arteaga, Muro Jimenez, and six others Sunday morning.

According to the police, the collision happened in the westbound lanes of the highway, involving two impacts.

Furthermore, reports say that a van hit one of the damaged vehicles and eventually ejected three passengers.

Moreover, the first crash occurred around 7:50 p.m. when a southbound SUV crossed the Highway 46 intersection and collided with a compact car.

Afterward, both vehicles came to a stop in the fast lane of the highway.

Subsequently, a westbound vehicle was unable to avoid the SUV and struck the back corner of the vehicle.

The SUV spun several times and ejected three passengers in the process.

In total, 4 passengers from the SUV, 2 inside the compact car, and 2 inside the van sustained injuries.

The SUV driver, identified as De Arteaga of Pahrump, received treatment in Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center.

Meanwhile the van driver, Jimenez of Paso Robles, and his passenger suffered from minor injuries.

The other involved parties have not been identified at this time.

Paso Robles officials are working to identify the circumstances surrounding the Highway 46 crash.
