Hit-and-Run Collision on Sunset Drive Kills Pittsburg Man

ANTIOCH, CA (December 27, 2021) Marcus Westbrook, 40, of Pittsburg, lost his life Monday morning in a hit-and-run crash on Sunset Drive.

According to preliminary information, the collision occurred in the 1200 block of Sunset Drive. Officers actively responded to the site and discovered Westbrook unconscious and severely injured.

Despite the life-saving attempts, Westbrook died at the site from his injuries. Following the accident, the driver of the involved car fled the scene. Officials have no information on the culprit or the hit-and-run car at this time.

At this time, authorities are working to identify the hit-and-run suspect in Antioch.

State Troopers continue to ask anyone who witnessed the event to call their local authorities.
