One Killed, Suspect Arrested after Speeding Collision near Foothill Boulevard

UPLAND, CA (May 6, 2022) – Authorities arrested 29-year-old Marcos Enriquez Tuesday night, after fatal DUI crash on Campus Avenue.

According to the police, the crash happened around 11:43 p.m., just south of Foothill Boulevard. Crews responded to the scene shortly after.

Investigators said Enriquez sped along Campus Avenue when he struck another car. Due to the impact of the collision, the driver of the other vehicle died at the scene.

Following preliminary duties, authorities arrested Marcos Enriquez on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and DUI.

At this time, the identity of the deceased victim remains unavailable, pending notification from next of kin.

Meanwhile, the surrounding area on Campus Avenue between Mesa Court and Foothill Boulevard remained closed until 9:00 a.m., on Wednesday.

At this time, Upland Officials are still currently investigating the fatal DUI crash.
