DUI Crash on Bear Valley Road Killed One, Desirae Monique Corral Arrested

VICTORVILLE, CA (January 11, 2022) – On Saturday, authorities arrested Desirae Monique Corral over a hit-and-run crash on Hesperia Road that killed Marcos Amay.

According to Victorville police, the crash occurred at 12 a.m. at the intersection of Bear Valley Road and Hesperia Road.

Police said Amay was walking south across Bear Valley Road when he was struck by a vehicle traveling west.

Eventually, he died at the scene.

Meanwhile, the vehicle that struck him, driven by an intoxicated Corral, fled the scene of the crash but was later found.

Police said Corral is facing charges for driving under the influence causing death, hit and run resulting in death, and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.

All eastbound and westbound lanes of Bear Valley Road and northbound and southbound lanes of Hesperia Road remained shut for hours following the crash.
