Marchers Make May Day a Demonstration of Resistance to Trump

Several May Day marches took place throughout downtown L.A. on Monday, bringing awareness to workers and immigrants rights. Thousands marched in separate events organized by the L.A. County Federation of Labor and Full Rights for Immigration from Broadway and Olympic and from MacArthur Park, both congregating at City Hall. A group of fewer than 50 Trump supporters gathered outside LAPD headquarters across from City Hall and engaged in an hours-long shouting match with anti-Trump marchers; the groups were separated by LAPD officers in riot gear.
