29-Year-Old Victim Pronounced Dead after Hit-and-Run near Garzoli Avenue

MCFARLAND, CA (April 7, 2022) – Saturday evening, 29-year-old Marcelino Tenorio Ventura died in a hit-and-run crash on Sherwood Avenue.

The collision occurred around 10:50 p.m., just west of Garzoli Avenue on April 2nd.

According to reports, Ventura was walking on Sherwood Avenue outside of a marked crosswalk. There, the driver of a 2004 GMC Sierra struck him and immediately fled the scene.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced Ventura dead at the scene.

In addition, the 17-year-old driver of the suspect vehicle later returned to the scene. At this time, is is still unknown if alcohol or drugs played a factor in the deadly accident.

No further details regarding the incident are public at this time.  However, more information will be provided once made available.
