A woman fatally stabbed September 17 has been identified as 34-year-old Manuela De Leon. The stabbing occurred in the 3000 block of Rosalind Place around 12:15 a.m., the Los Angeles Times reports.

Celso Sante, De Leon's husband, allegedly stabbed her during an argument in the couples kitchen, Detective Joe Rios of LAPD's Hollenbeck Division, told the Times. The couples' roommates dialed 911 during the stabbing.

De Leon sustained multiple stab wounds to her right hand, left chest and left arm, according to the Los Angeles County coroner's report. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The roommates informed investigators that Sante would often become violent with his wife after he gets drunk.

Santee is held in lieu of $1.02 million bail and is scheduled for a court appearance on Oct. 1 at the Los Angeles Municipal Court. Anyone with information about the stabbing is urged to contact Hollenbeck Division detectives at (323) 526-3679.
