Man Dies in Solo-Vehicle Rollover Collision near Keysville Road
LAKE ISABELLA, CA (September 30, 2022) – 34-year-old Manuel Martinez was killed Sunday afternoon, in an off-road crash on Black Gulch Road.
The accident happened around 2:41 p.m., along the southbound lanes of Black Gulch Road near Keysville Road.
According to California Highway Patrol, Martinez was riding a 2012 Polaris when he veered off the dirt road and fell about 50 feet down an embankment. The Polaris rolled and ejected Martinez from the vehicle onto the road.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics later pronounced Martinez dead at the scene.
Following preliminary investigations, officers said it is unknown whether speed, drugs, or alcohol played a role in the crash. However, an active investigation is still currently underway.
