75-Year-Old Cyclist Struck and Injured in Collision near Liberty Station NTC Park

SAN DIEGO, CA (November 23, 2021) – Wednesday afternoon, a 75-year-old bicyclist was struck and hurt in a crash on Cushing Road.

San Diego police said the man was riding his bicycle southbound near Liberty Station NTC Park at about 3:00 p.m., when he was struck by a Ford Escape.

As a result, the man was thrown from his bicycle onto the roadway and suffered a broken left clavicle and several broken ribs. He was later taken to a local hospital for further treatment.

The driver of the Escape stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
