Male Bicyclist Hospitalized after 2-Vehicle Collision on Bethany Home Road

GLENDALE, AZ (September 2, 2022) – Early Monday morning, one man was hospitalized following a bicycle accident on 67th Avenue.

Authorities responded to the scene around 4:30 a.m., near Bethany Home Road on August 29th.

According to reports, the driver of an eastbound truck hit a cyclist who was heading south through a marked crosswalk.

Medics arrived and transported the injured victim to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. Although, police have not yet released his name or place of residency.

In addition, the truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. At this time, police are still investigating to determine if impairment played a role in the bicycle accident on 67th Avenue.

Meanwhile, 67th Avenue and Bethany Home Road were shut down for several hours before they were later reopened around 9:30 a.m.
