Male Victim Killed in Auto Accident near Jeffrey Road

IRVINE, CA (August 16, 2022) – Early Saturday morning, one man was pronounced dead after a three-vehicle crash on 405 Freeway.

The collision occurred around 5:30 a.m., on the northbound lanes of 405 Freeway near Jeffrey Road.

At this time, the events leading up to the incident remain unclear. However, investigators say the accident involved three vehicles.

Responding medical personnel arrived and declared one man dead at the scene. Although, their identity has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.

No other injuries were reported from the crash. Moreover, crews temporarily shut down a portion of the Freeway to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

At this time, Irvine Officials are asking anyone with information about the three-vehicle crash on 405 Freeway to contact local authorities as soon as possible. Once available, further details will be provided.
