Pedestrian Fatally Struck near Springdale Street
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (September 27, 2022) – Friday evening, a pedestrian accident on Warner Avenue claimed the life of one person.
Officers responded to the fatal incident around 7:00 p.m. at Warner Avenue, east of Springdale Street.
Upon arrival, the Huntington Beach police discovered a man lying in the street. Unfortunately, the 40-year-old male pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
However, police did not immediately disclose his name, pending notification from the next of kin.
According to the investigators, an eastbound gray 2015 Acura struck the pedestrian crossing Warner Avenue outside the crosswalk.
The 34-year-old driver of the Acura stayed with the officers at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
