Speeding Jeep on Highway 70 Left 3 Minors Injured

OLIVEHURST, CA (December 22, 2021) – A crash on Highway 70 claimed the life of a Yuba County man and injured 3 minors Sunday afternoon.

The fatal incident occurred around 2:20 p.m. when the driver lost control of his speeding vehicle and struck a dirt barrier.

Afterwards, the vehicle rolled over several times ejecting the driver.

According to the police, the vehicle is occupied by a 46-year-old man and three minors, ages 10, 5, and 3.

Unfortunately, the driver suffered blunt force trauma after landing in a dirt field and died from his injuries.

Meanwhile, the oldest kid sustained moderate injuries while the younger boys received minor injuries.

Olivehurst Officials are investigating the rollover crash.

At this time, the Yuba County Coroner’s Office currently withholds the identity of the deceased victim, pending notification of next of kin.
