Traffic Crash on Highway 43 Left One Fatality

KINGS COUNTY, CA (April 11, 2022) – Friday evening, a two-vehicle collision on Kansas Avenue killed one man, police said.

The collision occurred on Kansas Avenue, west of Highway 43, between Hanford and Corcoran just before 10:30 p.m.

Furthermore, police said a 54-year-old man was driving a Toyota traveling east and veered off into the opposite lane.

Consequently, the vehicle slammed into an approaching Ford.

Eventually, the Toyota driver died at the scene, while four occupants of the Ford sustained minor to moderate injuries.

Moreover, paramedics transported one of the victims to Adventist Health hospital in Tulare.

The California Highway Patrol are still investigating the circumstances of what led the driver to drift into the other lane.
