Male Driver Pronounced Dead after 2-Vehicle Collision near Mission Center Road

SAN DIEGO, CA (March 29, 2023) – Thursday afternoon, one man was killed in a two-car crash on Murray Ridge Road.

Authorities responded to the scene just before 12:30 p.m., near Mission Center Road in the neighborhood of Serra Mesa.

Per reports, the 53-year-old male driver of a northbound Chevrolet pickup-truck lost control and spun out in the southbound lanes. As a result, the pickup struck a southbound Land Rover LR3, driven by a 31-year-old man.

Medical personnel pronounced the Chevrolet driver dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released his name or place of residency. Meanwhile, crews transported the Land Rover driver to a nearby hospital for further treatment of unspecified injuries.

At this time, the San Diego Police Department Traffic Division continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the two-car crash on Murray Ridge Road.
