Skateboard Accident on Arlington Avenue near Jones Avenue Kills 51-Year-Old Man

RIVERSIDE, CA (February 22, 2023) – Saturday night, a skateboard accident on Arlington Avenue claimed the life of a skateboarder. The crash happened around 8:30 p.m. near the intersection of Arlington Avenue and Jones Avenue. According to reports, a westbound 2017 Chevrolet Cruze hit the skateboarder going in the westbound lanes of Arlington Avenue. Responding medical personnel arrived at the scene shortly after. They transported the 51-year-old man to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. Meanwhile, the 72-year-old male Chevrolet driver from Alta Loma stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. It remains unclear whether drugs or alcohol played a factor in the incident.
