One Fatally Injured After Rollover Crash on Highway 99

MADERA COUNTY, CA (November 15, 2021)  One man lost his life Thursday morning following a tragic rollover crash on Highway 99.

The collision took place around 4:00 a.m. November 11, along Highway 99 near Avenue 13.

According to the CHP, the motorist veered off the road and rolled over for unclear reasons. As per officers, he was not wearing a seat belt and was partially ejected.

Officers on the scene discovered the individual and proclaimed him dead.

At this time, authorities have not yet disclosed his identification pending notification of next of kin.

Furthermore, both directions of the roadway were shutdown for cleanup and preliminary investigations.

CHP currently believe that drugs or alcohol were factors since they discovered alcohol containers in and around the car. However, an active investigation on the crash on Highway 99 remains ongoing.
