One Dead, One Injured after Auto Accident near Long Beach Boulevard

LYNWOOD, CA (July 22, 2022) –  Monday morning, a roll-over crash on 105 Freeway claimed the life of one person and injured another.

The crash happened just before 1:15 a.m. on the eastbound lanes of the 105 Freeway near Long Beach Boulevard.

According to reports, a four-door BMW drove off the freeway, rolled several times down an embankment, crashed through a concrete barrier wall, and landed on the surface street below.

Los Angeles County Fire Department firefighters were dispatched to the scene and arrived shortly after the incident. After assessing the situation, officials pronounced that one man had died in the accident. Meanwhile, they rushed another person to a hospital for treatment of critical injuries.

At this time the identity of the deceased and that of the injured victim has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.

At this time, Lynwood officials continue to investigate the fatal 105 Freeway crash.
