Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Pickup-Truck near 28th Avenue
TUCSON, AZ (December 16, 2021) – A man was killed in a deadly pedestrian crash on Van Burren Street, Wednesday night.
Officers responded to an emergency call at about 7:30 p.m., near 28th Avenue and Van Buren Street.
According to authorities, a man was crossing Van Buren Street and rushed in front of an eastbound pickup-truck. As a result, the driver struck the male pedestrian.
Due to the impact of the collision, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. However, authorities have not yet released his name or place of residency.
Phoenix Police said the man driving the pickup-truck remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Furthermore, paramedics say he sustained no injuries in the crash.
At this time, the crash on Van Burren Street is still under active investigation. Once available, further details will be provided.
