Vallejo Pedestrian Crash Kills Redwood Man

VALLEJO, CA (July 27, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a pedestrian crash on Sonoma Boulevard that killed a man on Tuesday.

Officers responded to the fatal incident around 5:15 a.m., in the area of Sonoma Boulevard and Lewis Brown Road.

Upon arrival, emergency responders discovered an adult male with injuries lying unconscious on the roadway.

Tragically, the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries and died at the scene, according to Vallejo Fire Department personnel.

Later on, officials described the victim as a 26-year-old homeless man from Redwood City. Investigators learned that a southbound vehicle struck the pedestrian on Sonoma Boulevard.

The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

At this time, the Vallejo Officials continue to withhold the identities of the involved parties in the pedestrian crash.

Authorities are still working to identify the circumstances surrounding the pedestrian crash on Sonoma Boulevard.
