Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Deadly Collision on Pacific Coast Highway

LONG BEACH, CA (April 5, 2022) – Tuesday morning, a pedestrian crash on Rose Avenue claimed the life of a man, police said.

According to Long Beach police, officers responded to the scene just after 8:05 a.m., on Pacific Coast Highway and Rose Avenue.

Reports stated that the driver of a 2019 Jeep struck a male pedestrian while he was walking outside the marked crosswalk.

Eventually, Long Beach Fire Department paramedics transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Authorities have not released information regarding the involved driver and their condition.

The deceased victim’s identity remains unavailable, pending notification from his next of kin. At this time, Long Beach Officials continue to investigate the deadly pedestrian crash.
