Male Pedestrian Killed in Deadly Collision on Soquel Avenue

SANTA CRUZ, CA (January 20, 2022) – Tuesday evening, a man was fatally injured in a pedestrian crash on Ocean Street.

According to the police, the collision occurred around 6:39 p.m., near the intersection of Ocean Street and Soquel Avenue.

Per reports, the driver of a dark-colored sedan struck a male pedestrian under unknown circumstances. The Santa Cruz Fire Department arrived and despite life-saving efforts, pronounced the victim dead at the scene after 20 minutes.

At this time, the identity of the deceased pedestrian remains unavailable, pending notification from their next of kin.

Santa Cruz Officials are still currently investigating the deadly pedestrian collision.
