Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Lucknow Ave Kills 69-Year-Old Man

TEHAMA COUNTY, CA (October 18, 2021) – Last Monday night, a 69-Year-Old man died in a  pedestrian crash on Lucknow Ave.

The crash happened at around 10:40 p.m. on Lucknow Ave just south of Dunvin Court, according to reports.

As per California Highway Patrol, Randy Aspillaga, 51, was driving heading towards northbound when he hit the victim who was crossing on Lucknow Ave.

According to the CHP, Aspillaga assumed he hit a deer in the northbound lane. He was driving home when he discovered on social media that he had maybe collided with someone.

Aspillaga called authorities and was questioned at his house.

The man was killed while travelling across Lucknow Avenue. His identity is being kept private until his nearest of kin is notified.

The investigation on the pedestrian crash on Lucknow Ave is ongoing.
