Pedestrian Fatally Struck near Black Mountain Road
HILLSBOROUGH, CA (June 9, 2022) – A pedestrian crash on Interstate 280 claimed the life of one man Friday afternoon.
According to the report, the fatal collision happened around 4:23 p.m. near the Black Mountain Road off-ramp.
Initially, a solo-vehicle crash caused the man to be stuck in the center divider, CHP Officer Art Montiel said.
Afterward, a vehicle struck and killed the man as he attempted to cross the freeway.
No further details regarding the collision are public at this time; however, more information will be provided once made available.
Furthermore the identity of the deceased victim remains unknown, pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, the involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. In the end, officials shut down three lanes of the highway until 7:30 pm.
